Crabtree Promoted to Lieutenant at Butner Public Safety

RALEIGH -- In a ceremony Feb. 15, Butner Public Safety Officer Ronald W. Crabtree, 41, was promoted to lieutenant. Crabtree has worked for Butner Public Safety as an officer since June 2006.

Co-workers say Crabtree is always willing to help out his colleagues, he has a good sense of humor and he loves working on cars.

Butner Public Safety Officers are certified in both law enforcement and firefighting.  The Town of Butner contracts with state government to have Butner Public Safety provide fire and police services to the incorporated area known as the Town of Butner, a 36-square mile area between Durham and Granville counties.   Butner Public Safety has been protecting the citizens, businesses and hospitals in since 1947.   The area has numerous local, state and federal institutions.
